Message Continuity

In light of the storms and power outages we have recently been experiencing, we would like to remind those of you with our spam filtering solution, Nuvotera formerly known as SpamSoap, about its Message Continuity feature.

If your email server or cloud email provider happens to go down, you may log in to the console to view and send mail, as long as you have an internet connection.

SpamSoap Message Continuity is a fully automated recovery service enabling web-based email access during planned or unplanned outages. Simply login here with your email address and password (if you do not know your password, click link to create one). When the SpamSoap engine can't reach the target mail servers, which it checks every 15 minutes, it will begin to "spool" messages, which you can see and respond to in the console. Once the mail server or provider comes back online, the SpamSoap spooling ends, the queues empty and everything goes back to normal.

New Outlook apps for your phone

Microsoft recently released new Outlook apps for Apple and Andriod phones. Here are some reasons you should start using it:

The apps finally allow multiple email accounts. You can now add accounts from Exchange, Google, Yahoo, or iCloud. The best part is that all of them appear in a unified inbox. That's a trick that even the full Outlook desktop application can't do.

It now has what's called a Focused inbox that distinguishes emails into two categories: Focused or Other. The premise is that Focused emails are the more important emails, the ones you should be checking from your mobile device. The Others are ones that can wait until you are back at your desk.

The calendar is easier to access and work with and has a new Quick RSVP feature and an availability feature that suggests various meeting times to the recipient.

New left or right customizable swipe options allow you to archive, schedule, move or flag messages.

Windows 2003 End of Life Countdown: 154 Days

What does end of support mean for you? After July 14, Microsoft will no longer issue security updates for any version of Windows Server 2003. If you are still running Windows Server 2003, you need to take steps now to plan and execute a migration strategy to protect your infrastructure.

By migrating to Windows Server 2012 R2, Microsoft Azure or Office 365, you can achieve improved performance, reduced maintenance requirements, and increased agility and speed of response to the business.

Happy Valentine's Day!
