CRM Online update

You may have heard that Microsoft is updating its CRM Online product and rolling it into what's called Dynamics 365. You will be able to schedule your update starting December 2016 for updates to occur from January 2017 to June 2017, giving you up to 6 months to complete the update to Microsoft Dynamics 365. You must provide consent for updates that you have scheduled prior to the update date.

This is an action that an administrator must take. In the Dynamics 365 Administration Center, on the Updates tab, select the organization and choose "Approve Update", or you can select an alternate date by choosing "Manage updates now".

Administrators will be able to schedule updates to sandbox instances first, prior to production updates. You can easily see the Sandbox and Production update schedules in a single view within the Dynamics 365 Administration Center.

Windows 10 Updates

Microsoft is changing how Windows 10 is updated to reduce the impact on PCs. On a regularly updated device, this new delivery platform will cut download sizes for major updates by about 35 percent.

Te improvements stem from a new update delivery technology known as Unified Update Platform. UUP only updates each device with the files it needs, rather than delivering all updates to date and doesn't rely so heavily on the user's device to process update-related data.

To all of our loyal clients and friends - a special thank you for your continued support this year. We wish you and your family a happy and safe Thanksgiving!

Cyberinsurance policies

Insurance companies are starting to fill the loopholes in their cybersecurity products, which could prevent costly lawsuits. But they warn that uninsured losses resulting from social engineering are an all too common plight of American businesses. You want to make sure you're covered for the gray areas.

It is an ever-evolving market and you need to ask your insurer a lot of questions before purchasing cybercoverage. We can help you assess your needs and your company's risk. Contact us for help.
